Professor Pete's Schoolhouse - Organic Sound Guide

The purpose of this is to help toons learn more about organic sound combinations, as well as to help toons learn how to sound around a whistle or similar sound gag put up by a smaller toon. I personally love organic sound and love playing with sound combinations.

      Organic Sound
Many toons think organic sound is useless. By itself, organic sound is useless. However, when mixed in with other sound it can come in handy. Organic sound allows the team to save trunks and compensate for a teammate having un-maxed, small, or no sound. The trick knows how much damage your sound is doing and how much health each cog has. If you are like me you are not a human calculator and cannot process the numbers quick enough to “be magical” as my friend and I call it, so here is a nice list of combinations that will work on level 8+ cogs.

      Who has organic sound?
First you need to know who has organic sound. I personally am chatless and can't rely on people telling me, so here are a few charts to help pick out organic sound. If you pay attention to the base damage a combination of fogs or trunks, it is really easy to realize someone has organic sound. Through process of elimination you can figure out which toon(s) have organic sound.

      Sound Damage
      Gag Regular Organic
      Bike Horn 4 5
      Whistle 7 8
      Bugle 11 12
      Aoogah 16 17
      Elephant Trunk 21 23
      Foghorn 50 55
      Opera Singer 90 99

      Base Trunk Damage

How many toons are organic 1 trunk 2 trunks 3 trunks 4 trunks
      With 1 organic 23 44 65 86
      With 2 organic - 46 67 88
      With 3 organic - - 69 90
      With 4 organic 92

      Base Fog Damage

How many toons are organic 1 foghorn 2 foghorns 3 foghorns 4 foghorns
      With 1 organic 55 105 155 205
      With 2 organic - 110 160 210
      With 3 organic - - 165 215
      with 4 organic - - - 220

      Gag combinations

I'm sure you are looking at these charts now and wondering how 2 or 5 extra points is going to make any difference. You would be surprised at how helpful those few points can be. Organic fog can compensate for the dreaded unmaxed fog; it can also allow toons to substitute an aoogah for a trunk, saving valuable gags in those long Back 9s. In addition, this can allow you to incorporate some whistles and bugles into a sounding strategy, helping cover up for that little cold caller who really wants to train her level 3 sound.

Here are some sound gag combinations. The combinations use both organic and regular gags, as well as a mixture of the two. Each combo lists the smallest gag that can be used in that particular combination. Obviously any gag larger than the gag listed can be used and it would work.

-Please note all charts assume that gags do their maximum amount of damage-

Level 8 cogs have 90 health.
In order for your sound to destroy a level 8 its base damage (before bonus*) must be greater than or equal to 75.

I had organic sound on little Emo Kitten when she was working cash, and my friend and I would just duo mints. The two organic fogs taking out level 10's is so handy. Wonderful guide!

Pretty much this; Two of my toons had organic sound and it made doing mints or offices a breeze.
      Thanks Dan!

Maybe we'll see some more toons with organic sound after this eh? Thank you for posting this. I'm sure others will find it just as useful as I will later on.
